Bluepoint Wind Attends Edison Fishing Expo

This weekend, Bluepoint Wind exhibited at the Edison Saltwater Annual Fishing Expo. Our Fisheries Liaisons and members of our External Affairs team were on hand to provide project updates, answer questions and concerns, and connect with the recreational fishing community.

We were also able to meet and hear from Rutgers University Agriculture & Natural Resources Professor Doug Zemeckis as he presented on ways to effectively practice conservation in recreational fishing. It was amazing to hear that the recreational fishing industry in NJ is a $1.3 billion industry, providing nearly 14K jobs.

Bluepoint Wind strongly believes in the responsible, sustainable, and shared use of the ocean. Our project team continually engages with mariners, including recreational and commercial fishers, to maintain lines of communication, share information, and provide updates as Bluepoint Wind progresses.

This was our second year at the expo and we can’t wait for next year! If you are a mariner looking for more information about Bluepoint Wind, you don’t have to wait until then to connect with us – visit our website at Information for Mariners – Bluepoint Wind!
