Bluepoint Wind Announces 2025 Grant Awards to Teachers for Renewable Energy STEM Kits

Bluepoint Wind is pleased to announce the winners of its 2025 mini-grant program, which will help further STEM and clean energy education for 10 educators in New York and New Jersey. Previously, awards were limited to educators in New Jersey, however due to increased interest, in 2025 Bluepoint Wind expanded the mini-grant awards to teachers in New York as well. Each educator chosen by the Company will receive $1,000 worth of interactive STEM kits from KidWind, an international leader in renewable energy education.

Applications were made available in late 2024, and special consideration was given to those working in schools located in overburdened and disadvantaged communities. Applications were due on February 28th, 2025.

Each of the 10 teachers will receive a $1,000 mini-grant funded by Bluepoint Wind and applied toward the purchase of interactive wind energy STEM kits from KidWind. KidWind will also provide the winners with training on how to incorporate the STEM kits into in-school and/or out-of-school learning environments.

  • Marie Suchan of P.S. 398, NY
  • Khin-Yah Ma of Sunset Park High School, NY 
  • Veronica Sosa of The Hector Figueroa School, NY
  • Sean Hollett of William Cullen Bryant HS, NY
